Bhai dooj Or Bhatri dwitiya, bhai/bhatri means Brother and dooj/dwitiya means the 2nd day after the new moon. This festival is celebrated by Hindus on the second lunar day of the shukla Paksha of kartika according to the Hindu calendar. This festival is also known by different names like Bhai phonta, Bhai Tika, Bhaubeej, Bhatri Dwitiya.
