~ A Poem from the Heart ~
I held the words behind my lips,
Like twilight holds the sun —
Not gone, not bright, just quietly
Waiting to become one.
A hundred things I wished to say,
But silence was my shield.
My voice, a trembling autumn leaf,
Too shy to cross the field.
You never knew the storms I calmed
Just smiling through the pain,
The way I stitched my heart each night
And danced beneath the rain.
I watched you pass a thousand times
In moments deep and small,
And every glance I didn’t send
Still echoes through it all.
The love I gave in quiet ways —
A gesture, glance, or sigh,
The way I stayed, the way I hoped,
The way I said goodbye.
If you could read my quiet soul
Like stories never told,
You'd find the ink was always yours
In letters soft and bold.
Not every feeling finds its sound,
Not every truth is said —
Some live like whispers in the wind,
Or dreams inside the head.
But still, they lived, and still they breathed,
More real than words could be —
These things I never dared to speak,
But felt so endlessly.
Miss You
